Picanol maintient ses prévisions 2010

Portée par une demande élevée de métiers à tisser, Picanol a enregistré au cours du troisième trimestre un chiffre d'affaires en hausse de 63% par rapport à la même période l'an dernier. Picanol a fait savoir qu'elle maintenait ses prévisions pour l'ensemble de l'année.

Au cours du troisième trimestre de l'année, Picanol a enregistré un chiffre d'affaires consolidé de 96,51 millions d'euros, en hausse de 63% par rapport aux 59,34 millions du troisième trimestre 2009, a annoncé la société à l'occasion d'un trading update.
Dans la foulée de la première moitié de l'année, la demande pour les métiers à tisser est restée élevée au cours du troisième trimestre. L'un dans l'autre, il s'agit essentiellement d'une conséquence de la forte demande asiatique (essentiellement la Chine) et d'un effet favorable des cours de change. La vente d'accessoires et de pièces de rechange a par ailleurs pu profiter d'une situation de marché favorable au troisième trimestre.
La division Industries a également enregistré un regain d'activités au cours du trimestre écoulé.
Au niveau des prévisions, le groupe confirme son intention de réaliser, sur l'ensemble de l'année 2010, un chiffre d'affaires en ligne avec les résultats des trimestres précédents, tout en tenant compte des coûts toujours plus élevés des matériaux.
Par ailleurs, les prix en hausse du coton et la volatilité des taux de change créent de l'insécurité sur le marché, surtout en Chine, souligne Picanol. Ce qui précède pourrait ralentir les décisions en ce qui concerne les investissements dans les métiers à tisser.
